Waarmee blijven de panelen vastzitten?

Geen magneet en geen lijm over de hele ruit. Het paneel schuif je achter de rubberen afdichting, en langs de rand zet je het vast met dunne strips transparante 3M-tape — die zitten in de set, samen met reservestrips voor latere montages.

De tape raakt de ruit maar over een smalle strook, dus hij houdt stevig en laat bij het verwijderen geen lijm achter. Het hele systeem werkt omdat het paneel stijf is en volgens het patroon van een specifiek model gesneden is: het hoeft niet over het hele oppervlak te kleven om stabiel te zitten.

Valt het paneel er niet uit in de deur?

Nee. Het paneel van 500 µm polycarbonaat is stijf en precies op de vorm van de ruit gesneden, dus het heeft geen speling om te verschuiven. De afdichting en de tape langs de rand houden het tegelijk vast. Deuren dichtslaan of over hobbels rijden maakt geen verschil.

Is de montage moeilijk?

Nee — je doet het volledig zelf en je hebt geen gereedschap nodig. Geen föhn, geen rakel, geen vloeistof of natte montage zoals bij kleeffolie.

Laat de ruit zakken, schuif het paneel achter de afdichting, kleef de tapestrips en doe de ruit weer omhoog. Per ruit duurt dat ongeveer 30 seconden, voor een volledige set enkele minuten. De panelen komen op maat van je model, dus je hoeft niets bij te snijden of aan te passen.

Zie je goed door de panelen?

Het paneel maakt het zicht donkerder — hoe lager het percentage, hoe minder licht erdoor komt. Overdag geven 20% en 30% een comfortabel zicht. 's Nachts neemt elk niveau wat licht weg, daarom werkt de donkerste 5% vooral achterin de auto, waar je voor het zicht naar achteren op je zijspiegels rekent.

We doen niet alsof verduistering het zicht niet beïnvloedt. Houd daar rekening mee bij je keuze, en begin bij twijfel met een lichter niveau.

Kun je de ruiten nog gewoon openen?

Ja. De panelen zijn zo gesneden dat ze het mechanisme van de ruit niet hinderen. Omdat ze overlappend gemonteerd worden, is het bij ruiten die je heel vaak en helemaal opent goed om wat voorzichtig te zijn, zodat het paneel perfect blijft aansluiten. Met gesloten ruiten speelt dat geen rol.

Hoe verwijder je een paneel?

Je trekt het paneel los van de tape en schuift het onder de afdichting uit — enkele seconden per ruit, zonder gereedschap. De tape komt mee met het paneel en laat geen sporen op het glas.

Opnieuw monteren gaat net als de eerste keer: nieuwe tapestrips, inschuiven, aandrukken. Er zitten reservestrips in de set, dus je kunt de panelen vaak verwijderen en terugplaatsen — voor de winter, voor de verkoop van de auto, of gewoon wanneer je ze niet nodig hebt.

Hoe goed kunnen ze tegen hitte?

De panelen zijn gemaakt van polycarbonaat — hetzelfde materiaal als koplampglazen en kogelwerend glas. Het werkt van −40 °C tot +115 °C, dus vorst of een hete zomerdag maken geen verschil. Ter vergelijking: goedkopere PET-folies worden al zacht bij 70–80 °C, en zo warm kunnen oppervlakken worden in een auto die in de zon staat.

Het polycarbonaat heeft aan beide kanten een krasbestendige coating en houdt 99% van de uv-straling tegen.

Laat de tape sporen na?

Nee. De 3M-tape is veilig voor glas en komt bij het verwijderen mee met het paneel. Blijft er toch een restje lijm achter, dan verwijder je dat met gewoon ruitenreiniger — zonder schrapen en zonder risico op krassen. De ruit is daarna weer zoals voor de montage.

Welk niveau kies ik?

Het percentage is de hoeveelheid licht die het paneel doorlaat — hoe lager het getal, hoe donkerder de ruit.

30% is het lichtste niveau en de meest gekozen: het geeft de auto een strakkere look en laat het meeste zicht. 20% is de middenweg — duidelijk donkerdere ruiten en meer privacy, met nog een redelijk zicht. 5% is het donkerst, geeft maximale privacy en werkt het best achteraan.

De prijs hangt niet af van het niveau. Wil je vooraan en achteraan een ander niveau, bestel die sets dan apart.

Passen ze op mijn auto?

De panelen worden op een CNC-machine gesneden op maat van merk, model, generatie, bouwjaar en carrosserie — die kies je in de configurator bij het bestellen. De database bevat meer dan 500 generaties van populaire modellen.

Staat je auto er niet bij, vul hem dan handmatig in. We bevestigen het snijpatroon dan eerst per e-mail, voordat er iets gesneden wordt. Hetzelfde doen we bij bussen, bestelwagens en pick-ups. Coupés en cabrio's hebben een afwijkende vorm, waardoor er een toeslag kan bijkomen — dat laten we je vooraf weten.

Hoe lang duren productie en levering?

Elke set wordt op bestelling gemaakt, daarom duurt de levering ongeveer 10–14 dagen. In die tijd wordt het materiaal volgens jouw patroon gefreesd en gecontroleerd voordat het ingepakt wordt.

Verzending is altijd gratis, en je krijgt een trackingcode op de dag van verzending. Is het materiaal in het gekozen niveau tijdelijk niet beschikbaar, dan laten we je dat per e-mail weten.

Kan ik mijn bestelling annuleren of terugsturen?

De panelen worden op maat van een specifieke auto gesneden. Als product dat volgens de specificaties van de klant is gemaakt, valt het onder de wettelijke uitzondering op het herroepingsrecht (art. VI.53, 3° van het Wetboek van Economisch Recht). Zolang we nog niet gesneden hebben, kun je je bestelling wel gewoon annuleren: stuur ons een bericht via de contactpagina.

Past een paneel niet terwijl je de gegevens van je auto juist hebt ingevuld, heeft het een materiaalfout of kwam het beschadigd aan? Dan snijden we een nieuwe set en betalen wij de verzending. Bij afwijkende vormen bevestigen we het snijpatroon vooraf per e-mail, zodat het zover niet hoeft te komen.

Mag je met de panelen rijden in België?

Achterste zijruiten en achterruit: die mag je in België verduisteren, op voorwaarde dat je auto buitenspiegels heeft.

Voorruit en voorste zijruiten: bij personenwagens zijn daar geen zelfklevende films of niet-originele bedekkingen toegelaten. Rijd dus niet met panelen op de voorste zijruiten op de openbare weg. Ze zijn bedoeld voor wanneer je auto stilstaat — op een parking, tijdens een treffen of fotoshoot, of op privéterrein. Omdat je ze in enkele seconden zonder gereedschap wegneemt, is je auto meteen weer in originele staat, ook voor de keuring.

Krijg ik een factuur?

Ja. Vul je factuurgegevens in bij het bestellen, of stuur ze ons via de contactpagina — ook na ontvangst van je pakket kan dat nog. De factuur sturen we per e-mail.

Hoe volg ik mijn bestelling?

Na je bestelling krijg je een bevestiging per e-mail, en op de dag van verzending een bericht met je trackingcode. Kreeg je geen van beide? Kijk dan even in je spammap: berichten van webshops komen daar soms terecht. Twijfel je, stuur ons dan een bericht via de contactpagina met je bestelnummer, dan kijken we het na.

How do the panels stay in place?

No magnets and no glue across the whole window. You slide the panel behind the rubber seal and secure it along the edge with thin strips of clear 3M tape — included in the kit, along with spare strips for later refitting.

The tape only touches the glass along a narrow strip, so it holds firmly and leaves no glue when removed. The whole system works because the panel is rigid and cut to the pattern of a specific model: it doesn't need to stick across the whole surface to stay stable.

Won't the panel fall out inside the door?

No. The 500 µm polycarbonate panel is rigid and cut exactly to the shape of the window, so there's no play for it to shift. The seal and the tape along the edge hold it at the same time. Slamming doors or driving over bumps makes no difference.

Is fitting difficult?

No — you do it entirely yourself and you need no tools. No heat gun, no squeegee, no liquid or wet fitting as with adhesive film.

Lower the window, slide the panel behind the seal, apply the tape strips and raise the window again. It takes about 30 seconds per window, a few minutes for a full kit. The panels come cut to your model, so there's nothing to trim or adjust.

Can you see well through the panels?

The panel darkens the view — the lower the percentage, the less light gets through. By day, 20% and 30% give comfortable visibility. At night every level takes away some light, which is why the darkest, 5%, works best at the back of the car, where you rely on your side mirrors to see behind you.

We don't pretend tinting has no effect on visibility. Keep that in mind when choosing, and if in doubt, start with a lighter level.

Can you still open the windows normally?

Yes. The panels are cut so they don't interfere with the window mechanism. Because they're fitted overlapping the seal, it's worth being a little careful with windows you open very often and all the way, so the panel keeps a perfect fit. With the windows closed, it makes no difference.

How do you remove a panel?

You peel the panel off the tape and slide it out from under the seal — a few seconds per window, no tools. The tape comes away with the panel and leaves no marks on the glass.

Refitting works just like the first time: new tape strips, slide in, press down. Spare strips are included, so you can remove and refit the panels often — for winter, when selling the car, or simply when you don't need them.

How well do they handle heat?

The panels are made of polycarbonate — the same material as headlight lenses and bulletproof glass. It works from −40 °C to +115 °C, so frost or a scorching summer day makes no difference. For comparison, cheaper PET films already soften at 70–80 °C, which is how hot surfaces can get in a car parked in the sun.

The polycarbonate has a scratch-resistant coating on both sides and blocks 99% of UV radiation.

Does the tape leave marks?

No. The 3M tape is safe for glass and comes away with the panel when removed. If a little glue does stay behind, ordinary glass cleaner removes it — no scraping and no risk of scratches. The window is back to how it was before fitting.

Can I use them on my lease car?

Yes, absolutely. The panels don't stick to the whole window and are held only by thin strips of 3M tape along the edge. You remove them in seconds without leaving marks: when you hand your lease car back, there's no sign they were ever fitted.

Which level should I choose?

The percentage is how much light the panel lets through — the lower the number, the darker the window.

30% is the lightest and most popular level: it gives the car a sharper look while keeping the best visibility. 20% is the happy medium — clearly darker windows and more privacy, with reasonable visibility. 5% is the darkest, gives maximum privacy and works best at the back.

The price doesn't depend on the level. Want a different level front and rear? Order those sets separately.

Will they fit my car?

The panels are CNC-cut to your make, model, generation, year and body type — which you choose in the configurator when ordering. The database covers more than 500 generations of popular models.

If your car isn't listed, enter it manually. We'll then confirm the cutting pattern by email before anything is cut. We do the same for buses, vans and pickups. Coupés and convertibles have an unusual shape, so a surcharge may apply — we'll let you know in advance.

How long do production and delivery take?

Every kit is made to order, so delivery takes about 10–14 days. During that time the material is milled to your pattern and checked before it's packed.

Shipping is always free, and you get a tracking code on the day of dispatch. If the material in your chosen level is temporarily unavailable, we'll let you know by email.

Can I cancel or return my order?

The panels are cut to fit a specific car. As goods made to the customer's specifications, they fall under the legal exception to the right of withdrawal (Art. VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). As long as we haven't cut yet, you can still cancel your order: send us a message via the contact page.

Does a panel not fit even though you entered your car correctly, does it have a material defect, or did it arrive damaged? We'll cut a new set and cover the shipping. For unusual shapes we confirm the cutting pattern by email in advance, so it doesn't come to that.

Can you drive with the panels in Belgium?

Rear side windows and rear window: you may tint these in Belgium, provided your car has exterior mirrors.

Windscreen and front side windows: on passenger cars, adhesive films and non-original coverings are not allowed there. So don't drive on public roads with panels on the front side windows. They're meant for when your car is parked — in a car park, at a meet or photo shoot, or on private land. Because you remove them in seconds without tools, your car is immediately back to its original state, including for the vehicle inspection.

Will I get an invoice?

How do I track my order?

After ordering you get a confirmation by email, and on the day of dispatch a message with your tracking code. Received neither? Check your spam folder: messages from online shops sometimes end up there. If in doubt, send us a message via the contact page with your order number and we'll look into it.
